Pros: Acoolsoft PPT2Video Converter is an application that is capable of converting PowerPoint presentations to video in a range of formats. The formats make them suitable for a set of wide-ranging devices. Video formats include MPEG, AVI, MP4, WMV, MOV, 3GP. That in turn makes them suitable for playing in players/devices that include iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, Pocket PC, Zune, PSP, Apple TV etc. The first step in the conversion process is to select this format and the settings corresponding to that. The settings include properties of audio/video that define quality and pixel sizes etc, time settings that include transition time between slides, soundest up and the video layout. Next step is to define a output folder if other than the default one. This will hold all presentation files getting converted by the batch application. Once the start button is pushed, progress is shown on the interface as a task-list. One can abort the process anytime.
View the result through a player that can play the output format.
Cons: When ever one deals with a multitude of formats, there`s always a possibility that some format combinations will throw up problems. One needs to get all these combinations tested for artifacts or gather user feedback.
